Architecture Project - Jiro’s Place (In Progress)

Two storefront spaces in McKim, Mead & White’s landmarked historic building were combined and the interior fully renovated to create Jiro’s Place, an experience that fuses art, food and community.

Lara Apelian Studio took owner Jiro Tcholakian’s vision and transformed the existing commercial spaces into a new restaurant design with a full bar, new fixtures and materials. Unique elements such as custom light fixtures, bespoke wallpaper, bronze details and antique elements created a warm backdrop for patrons to be welcomed into as they dine while watching art in the making.
