Lara Apelian Studio is a female-founded architecture and interiors firm where ingenuity and attention to color and aesthetics combine to create incredible spaces.
Based in Manhattan, our expertise spans residential, and select commercial projects.
Our studio follows a highly individualized approach to our work—which primarily encompasses high-end residences in New York City.
Designing spaces that honor our clients’ pasts while accommodating their present lifestyles are fundamental to our process.

Lara Apelian, RA, Design Principal
Lara’s career includes a number of established architecture firms including Robert A.M. Stern Architects, Smith Maran Architecture+Interiors, Charlotte Worthy Architects and Gensler NYC.
During her tenure at Robert A.M. Stern Architects, she became Associate and was project manager for the Student Services Building in UNC in Chapel Hill NC, for the Alan B. Miller Hall School of Business at College of William and Mary (in Williamsburg VA), and served on the design team of the two Residential Colleges at Yale University.
Lara holds a Master’s in Architecture II from Yale University’s School of Architecture, and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Carnegie Mellon University. She is a registered architect in New York and New Jersey.
